Ajiran Community Leaders Agitate For Government Presence
Community leaders in Ajiran Eti-Osa Local Government Area have agitated for government presence in the area.
They expressed their opinions in a separate interviews with the journalists calling for the reconstruction of the access road to the community among other infrastructure that will enhance healthy living. Excerpts.

Q: The State Government has commenced the resurfacing of Ajah-Lekki expressway, how do you feel about this development?
A: The entire people of Eti-Osa appreciate the state government for embarking on the rehabilitation of the Ajah-Lekki expressway and this indicates that, we have a listening government in the state and we will continue to commend him for a job well done.
However, a lot of work needed to be done more importantly on the access road to Ajiran, the road had long been submerged with water and people in the community spend a lot of money to maintain their vehicles as a result of this discomfort.
He also spoke on the 80th birthday anniversary of Alhaji Bakare, stating that he is a messenger of Allah, that was sent to the people during our generation and the people must continue to support him in prayers. Hon Agbaje Jamiu CDA Chairman Ajiran community
Q: The state government has rehabilitated the Ajah-Lekki expressway, do you see this as a blessing to the people?
A: One of the critical components of good governance is to provide basic social amenities for the people and His Excellency Babajide Sanwolu has continued to show keen interest in infrastructural presence in the state.
The rehabilitation of the Ajah-Lekki expressway will encourage private investors to do business in Eti-Osa, while the area will continue to maintain its position on global scale.
Having said that, I will like to enjoin the state government to extend infrastructural presence to Ajiran by reconstructing the access road to the community with proper drainage channels and laced with streetlight.
He spoke on the 80th birthday anniversary of Chief Bakare, the Balogun of Ajiranland, stating that he is the engine room of community service in Eti-Osa as he has being able to use his resources to project the wellbeing of the people.

Q: The Ajah-Lekki expressway has benefited from the infrastructural renewal of the state government, how do you feel with this development?
A: The urban renewal exercise currently ongoing in Eti-Osa is a testimony to the fact that the APC led government in the state is determined to bring its campaign promises to reality for the people.
I am very sure the state government will extend this gesture to Ajiran community by reconstructing the access road with functional drainage that will reduce flooding in the area.
He also spoke on the 80th birthday anniversary of Alhaji Olawale Bakare, adding that he has been able to make maximum impact in Eti-Osa, by promoting religious activities, give scholarships to children of the underprivileged and always see to the welfare of the people.
He maintained that the Balogun of Ajiran is a reference point for coming generations as he believes in the saying that, if Allah blesses you, you must also be a blessing to others in the society.
